Özcan Alper

Özcan Alper was born in 1975 in Artvin. He attended various cinema workshops and worked as an assistant for multiple Turkish directors from 1996 to 2006. His first feature “Autumn” was screened at more than 60 international film festivals and won many awards. He was nominated for European Discovery by the Europe Film Academy. His second feature film “Future Lasts Forever” had its world premiere at 36th Toronto International Film Festival. His third feature “Memories of the Wind” received support from Cinefoundation L’Atelier of Cannes Film Festival, Hubert Bals Fund of Rotterdam Film Festival, and the Asian Film Market of Busan Film Festival. ‘Black Night’ is his fourth feature. His films have been screened at over 100 festivals and received over 50 awards internationally.
