Alina Grigore

Alina Grigore debuted as an actress in “Happy End” by Radu Potcoava. After four years of acting in a TV series, she worked with Romanian directors such as Cristi Puiu and Adrian Sitaru. She is an author of four short films. She developed her first script with Adrian Sitaru and his students for the film “Illegitimate”. At InLight Center, she directed a TV series pilot “The American Dream” (2013) for a Romanian television in Chicago, as well as short films “Domino” (2016), “Triptic” (2016), and “River-Bet” (2017). Grigore is the winner of the 2018 Berlinale Talents in the writer/director category. Her directorial debut “Blue Moon” premiered in the Official Competition of the San Sebastian Film Festival in 2021. She is currently working with the Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo on her next feature film.
