Grzegorz Szymczak (born in 1974) - Russianist, translator and expert on Russian culture. In 2005-2016, he was an assistant professor at the Institute of Russian Studies at the University of Warsaw, where he conducted classes and lectures on Russian literature and cinema. Member of the Association of Literary Translators. He has translated, among others, four novels by Sergei Lebedev, three of which, The Border of Oblivion, The Children of Kronos and The Debutant, made it to the final of the Angelus Central European Literature Prize.
