Aleksandra Wojtaszek

Aleksandra Wojtaszek (born 1991) – a scholar specialising in the Balkans, a journalist, and a translator. She holds a PhD in literary studies and gives lectures at the Institute of Slavonic Philology at the Jagiellonian University. She’s an author of the academic book “Topographies of imaginary spaces. Serbian and Croatian speculative fiction”. She collaborates with the magazines “Tygodnik Powszechny” and “Herito”. She published her articles in “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, “Duży Format”, “New Eastern Europe”, “Dwutygodnik”, “Krytyka Polityczna”, “Odra”, “Ha!art”, as well as in a few Croatian magazines. She was granted a fellowship of the international program “Connecting Emerging Literary Artists 2019–2023”. She’s also a laureate of the Krakow UNESCO City of Literature Award.
