Luna Cinema

Luna Cinema is an independent cinema initiating artistic projects, integrating artistic communities, and promoting non-commercial culture. Its repertoire comprises premieres and auteur films awarded at Polish and international film festivals. The cinema also organises or hosts multiple events, like film festivals and film reviews, screenings, theatrical performances, concerts, meeting with authors, vernissages, educational programmes, and projects for children and the elders. The cinema has won many prestigious awards over the years: it was named the most positive cinema in Warsaw (“Gazeta Wyborcza” and Clear Channel award) and Cinema of the Year 2014 in the Warszawiaki plebiscite. It was awarded for being a friendly place for the elders by auditors of the programme “Kreatorzy standardu”, funded by the Zaczyn Foundation and the Warsaw City Hall.
