EURASIA FILM FESTIVAL is a new event in the calendar of Polish film events, during which we will present films from dozens of countries whose cinematography is not often seen on Polish cinema screens, especially in festivals Among them will be productions from Albania, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Slovenia, Syria or Tajikistan.
For residents of the country on the Vistula River, these areas are not only geographically distant, but often culturally as well Therefore, our Festival will be a unique event on the cultural map of Warsaw allowing our native viewers to experience a bit of exoticism through the cinema screen. We are committed to ensuring that most of the screenings will be Polish premieres of presented films appreciated at international festivals and competitions.
The mission of our festival is to break stereotypes and present different sides of cinematography of Europe and Central Asia than the one with which it is commonly associated. Contemporary cinema originating from these regions sets new paths for the development of film art, is often bold, unconventional, seeking new ways of narration and artistic expression. It is important to us that such productions are presented at the EURASIA FILM FESTIVAL.
The event is financed by the Polish Film Institute.
