A typical chaotic party somewhere in Tel Aviv. Danny confides in her friends that she’s expecting Max’s child and she ends up listening to a monologue about abortion that would make conservatives lose their sleep. Although she plans to terminate the pregnancy, Danny tries to tell Max about it, but he is mentally and physically preoccupied with Avishag who opens the door to her world of sexual fantasies and fetishes for him.

Three loosely connected chapters portray the young generation of Israelis who theoretically are ready to do almost anything. Uninhibited freedom makes it impossible to foresee consequences of one’s actions. Their actual effects are a surprise which prompts existential thoughts. The director brilliantly depicts the characters’ false confidence and faith in the rightness of their decisions. But despite tackling polarising subjects such as sex and abortion she doesn’t fall into the trap of populistic cliches. Though erotic, sex scenes seduce with naturalness and awkwardness. They have been made without cuts which proves how talented the actors are, especially magnificent Elisheva Weil as Avishag. “All Eyes Off Me” is like a mirror in which the director tells the viewers to look and confront their own desires.
