"Red Path"

Prepare for a deeply moving story of survival, courage and coming of age at the Eurasia Film Festival. We invite you to "Red Path" (Les enfants rouges), a moving drama co-produced by Tunisia, France, Belgium, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which explores the dark aspects of human existence.

In the heart of Tunisia, where the beauty of the landscape contrasts with the brutality of everyday life, young Ashraf faces the challenge of his life. The 13-year-old must face the cruel reality after he and his cousin Nizar, while wandering, accidentally stumble upon a terrorist-controlled territory. Mistaken suspicions of espionage lead to a terrible tragedy - Nizar is brutally murdered by jihadists, and his head is given to Ashraf to take back to his family as a warning. After the tragic death of his cousin, he is forced not only to come to terms with the trauma, but also to take on the role of an adult man in a world full of dangers. The film, which is loosely based on true events, shows his lonely journey in the mountains, where every step could be

Director Lotfi Achour, known for his ability to combine realistic portraiture with poetic vision, invites us to a world where the boundaries between good and evil are constantly crossed and with masterful precision shows Ashraf's path through the tense landscapes of the Tunisian mountains. The film "Red Path" gained international recognition, receiving awards for best directing and cinematography (Polish cameraman Wojciech Staroń was distinguished here, among others in Namur, at the International French Film Festival), and the moving story of growing up, loss and survival has received numerous awards at film festivals around the world.

Join us to follow Ashraf as he struggles to maintain his human dignity and childhood innocence in a brutal world that knows no mercy. This film is not only about terrorism, but also about the universal struggle for one's own "self" and the pursuit of meaning and justice.

Watch "Red Path" at the Eurasia Film Festival and experience cinematography that is not afraid to ask difficult questions. Let's meet at the cinema and share this extraordinary experience together!

After the screening, there will be a meeting with the creators. The team will be represented by the camera team, Wojciech Staroń and Desi Kunsa.
The film will be shown in its original language version with subtitles in Polish and English.
